Luke14:7-14

“For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted… When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”

My parents raised me to value church, love God, and love neighbor. Also to think for myself, ask tough questions, and dig perhaps even deeper than they were comfortable with.

Somehow, early in my twenties, I ended up in seminary, where I graduated with a Master's Degree in Christian Education - And then with a second Master's Degree in Theology. Now I'm just trying to figure out what to do with all that ...

And until then, I will write ... and write some more.
