Palm Sunday 2020

Instructions: The words and videos below are meant to be read and played in sequence, together forming one complete worship service. Begin by pressing play on the first video.

God Bless!

Now let us join in worship of God by lifting up this song of praise…

As we meditate on the story put before us today, consider the meaning here: The King who comes in peace, knowing full well that the same crowd celebrating him today, will turn on him and have him killed in just a few short days.

And Let Us Pray…

Lord God, Creator, Redeemer,
We lift before you the concerns that we share with our world…
… with our nation …
… with our communities …
… our families …
… our friends …
… our neighbors …
… and ourselves …
Watch over us, and guide us in these times of uncertainty and fear, into your promise and your future.
Forgive us for all the wrong that we have done,
Willingly and unwillingly,
Knowingly or unknowingly.
Give us your grace, to resist tomorrow whatever temptation we have given into today,
To persevere in challenges we have yet to face,
To live beyond fear.

In the name of the King of Peace, Jesus Christ, who rides today into Jerusalem, Amen.

Now, I’m pleased to introduce my father, Pastor Norman Bude, and his message for this Palm Sunday.

We the people called to live by Resurrection Power.

It is the power of the God who loves us too much to leave us in our graves, who loves us enough to help us even before we can admit that we need help, and calls us to ride on, with him, to serve and love the world, as he first loved us.

So by the power of the Resurrected God, let us rise and take up the call, put aside fear, to be our bother’s keeper in this time of need.
