Let us seek the One!
The One who gives us Life and Truth

Love and Passion
Grace and Security
In all things.
Sunday morning
Let us seek the One!
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you as well.
~Matthew 6:33
Contentment and Peace
To me, this is a promise not of riches, but of contentment, not of prosperity, but of peace.
I come from a lower middle class family. My parents raised two children on between $40-50,000 a year. I learned to do without, and yet I never truly wanted for anything. I learned to be content. I learned to trust. Somehow, with God at the very center of our family life, things always worked out.
Don’t get me wrong, money matters. Hard work matters. But there is a difference between diligently earning our daily bread, and driving ourselves mad in search of personal wealth. We are called to seek God, seek what is important, what will enrich our souls, first – not only, but first – putting the rest in its proper, second place.
Seek What Matters
Many things in life matter. But what matters most?
Riches?
Power?
Love?
What matters most to you?
Usually, how we choose to spend out time will tells us what we care for most.
This week, will you spend your time working for yourself, or for God? For personal gain, or for what is right? These are not mutually exclusive things. But to work for God and for good requires us to think of our impact on this world before we think about ourselves.
To care about how we effect others before the bottom line.
